Detective Sergeant Louis Corvese, Jr. – Cranston Police

Det. Sgt. Louis Corvese

     June 20, 2012 – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Detective Sergeant Louis Corvese, Jr. on June 19, 2012 at his home.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luigi and Marion (DelSesto) Corvese and the husband to Ann (Santomauro)  Corvese.  Louis was a Cranston Police Officer for 30 years, retiring from the Detective Division as a Sergeant.  In 1970, he received the Department’s Heroic Medal of Bravery for his capture of an escaped career criminal.  He was also a member of the Cranston FOP and the Cranston Country Club.  Besides his beloved wife Ann, Sgt. Corvese is survied by his children Deborah Buono and her Husband Jeff, Louis Corvese III, Kenneth Corvese and Brian Corvese; his loving grandchildren Stephanie, Stephen, Keri, Brian, Alissa, Louis and Michael; and his two great-grandchildren.  Rest in Peace Our Brother.
