Sergeant Thomas Lanzi – Cranston Police

   

Sgt. Thomas Lanzi

     Sergeant Thomas Lanzi served the citizens of Cranston for 22 years before retiring in 1977.  He earned a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement from Salve Regina College.  He was also served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. 

     In 1964, he was instrumental in starting the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, and served as its first president.   He was also a member of the R. I. State Democratic Committee. 

     He passed away on November 6, 1996 at the age of 64.
